WI vs NZ

There's been too much cricket over the last 3 days, with the Aus Vs WI match going into the reserve day. So, with a kind heart, please excuse the delay in today's predictions. We've taken out what little time we could from a scarily busy schedule, and have come out with a few predictions for the match.

Winner: New Zealand

Individual Scores:
Gayle: Expect a 50+ score
Chanderpaul: Will make a big hundred if he goes over 15-20 runs.
Sarwan:25-35
Stephen Fleming: Most likely score <20. Will, however, score a 50 if he crosses that.
Styris: 50+

You'll notice that we keep changing the way we present individual predictions. The plain and simple reason is that we wish to make the best use of the model and tell you everything it has to say. As always, suggestions are welcome.

This looks much more cricket like and the way commentators put it...Hope this time model predicts something better...so far so good...

I think this time, the predictions were very good.

New Zealand won the match

Styris was predicted to score 50+, he scores 80!
Fleming was predicted to score a 50 if he crosses 20, he scored 45 .... close prediction, within acceptable limits, I should say!

Gayle was to score 50+, he scored 44 .... Again, withion acceptable error limits (remember we did not put caveats like "if he crosses 20", etc. for this one)

Chanderpaul was to score a big 100. We did put a caveat here that it would be only if he crosses 20, but that was because we had 2 possible predictions for him. One was 0-10 and the other was a century!!! He scored 4 runs, so one prediction was correct!!!(Prashant Pawan can talk more on this)

Sarwan was to score 25 to 35 and he scores 19 .... I think we could have done slightly better on this one.

All in all, a very good effort by Prashant Pawan and team..... Congratulations!

Well done with the predictions - ignore the doubters!
Of course it is impossible to accurately predict anything in sport - it wouldn't be enjoyable if you could - but your predictions have been remarkably close to actual results.
Thanks and congratulations!
