So New Zealand did win as predicted! Sure, it might seem obvious to a lot of people now, but consider this: Both teams beat Australia in their recent ODI series and New Zealand lost to Bangladesh in their practice match. Doesn't seem that obvious now does it?
And coming to the scores, we predicted low scores for Ian Bell and Andrew Flintoff, both of which turned out to be true. This, inspite of the fact that Flintoff was tipped to be one of the better performers in the match.
With Mc Millan (NZ), we were really close, predicting 24 when he actually scored 27!
And yes, we love the feedback (read criticism?). It really helps. So do bring it on!

Well you people might have a good model to do these predictions but its all stochastic and the unobserved factors and psyche are something not easily predictable. Your efforts are well respected and anyway its fun...keeps you guessing but at the end of the day there is no harm in accepting that models are not predicting very well and there is a lot of room for improvement rather than pushing like anything to validate your predictions by statements made in this post.
All the best with your work on this...hoping to see much more improved models soon...
