Hi Well the victory for SA came good as predicted but the batsman scores are way off the mark except for greame smith
Now that brings us to the question, how are these predictions made. Are they made on the basis of how players will perform or on the basis of team histories. I would believe that is the former as the players remain constant but within a team with change of players a team is no longer the same
So even if your overall prediction is coming good, but the individual predictions are not correct for 5 out of 6 batsmen whose score ranges you predicted.....the basis of the overall prediction is not justified !
Correct me if i am wrong here, but the overall match prediction is in a manner of speaking, the sum of the partial predictions you make !!
Hi guys, Good to hear from you. I must mention that we made a silly error with kallis's score. The model predicted 90, but an error in communication (internally) lead us to send 35 as his score. Of course you needn't take our word, but...well, thats the truth. And our win/loss prediction doesn't depend on the individual predictions. They use different models.
